Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee

The Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC) endeavors to create an environment that recognizes diversity while acknowledging, understanding, and promoting experiences that foster acceptance of race, color, ethnic makeup, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, ideological viewpoints, religion, nationality, age, disability, socioeconomic status, marital and parental status.

The DEI committee identifies ways ACC can support collaboration among member programs in their commitment to diversify our communities overall (faculty, staff, and students) and to educate our students on appreciating diversity to address disparities in healthcare and to improve the overall health of the communities they serve. It is responsible for identifying DEI initiatives that help to strengthen and support each program’s DEI strategies, goals, and plans. This encompasses increasing faculty and staff awareness and understanding of DEI issues; growing a diverse student body, faculty, and staff; and creating an environment of inclusion, access, and belonging that affects sustainability and growth.
